With three national parks: snowy mountains, rain forests, and beaches, Seattle's climate is comfortable near summer, making a trip to nature's oxygen bar perfect.
Day1 Seattle ➡️Lake Quinault
Stay at Lake Quinault Lodge, a lake cabin with beautiful views, excellent restaurants and many rainforest trails right next to the hotel. The only downside is that there's no signal, and WiFi costs money (it's only a 30-minute trial).
Day2 Rainforest + Beach
The Hoh Rainforest is a super pristine temperate rainforest, with two simpler trails, Spruce Nature (1.25 miles, passing the beach) and Hall of Mosses (0.75 miles, the shortest and best), and a 17.3-mile trail.
Temperate rain forest, the most important feature is the towering trees in the ferns wrapped in various forms, very Jurassic Park, walk the hall of hosses trail, very easy.
Rialto & Ruby Beach Deadwood is very distinctive, but there is not much difference between the two beaches, and you can go to one in a tight schedule.
🏨 Accommodation in Port Angeles
Day 3 Mountain + Water
The most spectacular view of the snowy mountains in Hurricane Ridge Park! That morning (working day) there is no queue limit, but at noon to see a significant increase in mountain vehicles, it is recommended that you can as early as possible. We took the Hurricane hill trail and parked in the trailhead parking lot. About 7 o 'clock in the evening began to walk, the road just can see the sunset sunset.
The Lake Crescent water is clear, and the road from Hoh Rainforest/Seaside to Port Angeles runs along the lake for a long time. There are parking spots on the side of the road, so you can check in directly on the way.
A small waterfall in the forest of Sol Duc Falls, about a 20-minute walk from the parking spot onto the trail.
Olympic Game Farm feed animals, animals will stick their heads into the window ~ not the attractions in the park, closing time is early, admission $20/ person feed food also need to be purchased separately, can be arranged according to time and interest.
The overall route is a clockwise circle, it is recommended to plan in advance and reduce detour.
Day4 Port Angeles➡️ Mount Rainier ➡️ Seattle
Due to the ample time, before returning, I temporarily decided to visit Mount Karenier Park (3-4 hours by car), where I can enjoy a closer view of the snow-capped mountains, but it is a pity that in foggy days, sunny days will be very spectacular
Other suggestions:
Download offline map - Poor signal coverage in the park for easy navigation.
Consult the weather forecast - the Lake Crescent and Hurricane Ridge are recommended for sunny days (although it is possible to break through the clouds on cloudy days).
