This treasure museum hidden in DC Chinatown, the interior of the super exquisite architecture, gorgeous carved balustrades and atmospheric Roman Columns to see dazzling, the soul of the museum, not in the cultural relics, but in a strange atmosphere of the space.

Here is the location of "Wonderful Night at the Museum", with a movie filter to see here, always feel that there will be a wonderful story. In addition to natural science and the mystery of the universe, we also saw the legendary HopeDiamond. It is the real model for the "Heart of the Ocean" in the movie Titanic, and legend has it that it is a cursed diamond that will bring bad luck to its owner.

In the real world, its successive owners, starting with Louis XVI and Queen Mary, have experienced different bad luck until the jeweler HarryWinston buys it, and the strange curse stops. Mr. Harry Winston is also famous for this diamond, which is now a world-renowned brand. Eventually, Harry Winston donated the stone to the Smithsonian.

The museum has more than 100 million exhibits, many of which are among the world's most precious fossils, animal and plant specimens, minerals and jewelry, and does not charge admission. It takes at least two or three hours to stroll around, if you are hungry, there is a row of food trucks at the door, you need to check into the museum, you are not allowed to bring food or drinks, you can rent wheelchairs.

The colorful "dream catcher" in the middle of the first floor, and the exquisite exhibition hall of the beautiful ceiling and floor on the third floor add to the legendary color of the treasure of this museum. It is rare that the exhibits are not vague, collecting a lot of artworks from various periods in the United States, which is a visual feast one after another. There are even a few works by Edward Hopper (I had a crush on this artist for a while and felt SAAM was my soulmate lol).

The African wild elephant specimen in the center of the hall is the largest African wild elephant found by human beings so far, and the 27.6-meter "world's largest" white fin whale model is hanging in the Marine Hall on the second floor. In addition, there are countless lifelike animal specimens, the background is arranged with the real animal living environment, lifelike, and the explanation is also very clear.

The Fossil Hall has 3.5 billion years of ancient fossils, and the fossil studio can be visited through glass, where workers are cleaning fossils.

The famous mineral treasure museum has a wide range of minerals, and the interior is made to look like a mine, simulating being in a mine. There is also the world's largest Aquamarine, Dom Pedro Aquamarine 10,363 carats, in addition to countless gems and jewelry, dazzling, can not be taken away.

The world's largest 45.5 carat dark blue diamond hope diamond, which appeared in the movie "Titanic", has its own exhibition hall. The booth is very beautiful, rotating 360 degrees, and is crowded with people 😂.

I remember the rainstorm in DC that day, we walked in it for nearly two hours and still did not have enough fun. It was completely immersive visual and beautiful enjoyment.
If I can only punch one museum in DC, I will choose SAAM, and I am looking forward to visiting it again.
