Geneva Now the world is not in the book, at my feet!

Finally came to the heart of Switzerland, the first stop did not choose Zurich, but chose Geneva! It turned out to be the right decision... Geneva's attractions are relatively concentrated, and the whole city is more relaxed, which can be explored in a day citywalk!

Borges once wrote in the Atlas: "Of all the cities in the world, of all the friendly places that the wanderer has always sought and had the good fortune to encounter, Geneva is the city most suited to happiness." Nestled between the Alps and the Jura Mountains, it sits at the junction of Lake Geneva and the Rhone River. With a tradition of fraternity and an international outlook, Geneva is home to the European headquarters of the United Nations and the headquarters of the Red Cross.

This time, I checked in Tiffany Hotel, which is in the old town, and it is very convenient to go to all the attractions in the old town! When we checked in, it was already more than 8 o 'clock in the evening, the hotel reception brother was very enthusiastic to tell us how to go to all the attractions, where to do the phone card is more convenient, so we just landed the experience is very good!

The next day in Geneva time is limited, can only carry out half-day Citywalk, so the tour route is like this, it is recommended to collect it.

1️⃣

the sculpture of a chair with broken feet opposite the United NATIONS Headquarters (take bus No. 105 from the hotel and get off at the Nations station and you will see it)

The Palais des Nations is a famous building in Geneva, Switzerland. The Palais des Nations, also known as the League of Nations Building, is the headquarters of the League of Nations, the predecessor of the United Nations, and is now the United Nations Office in Geneva, also known as the European Headquarters of the United Nations.

On the opposite side of the Palais des Nations stands a huge chair - the Broken Leg chair (the symbol of the International Anti-Mine Organization), which means the damage of landmines to human beings, which is the symbol of the International Anti-Mine Organization.

2️⃣ Geneve Lake Geneva encounter swans (asked the security uncle at the gate of the Union, he said that Lake Geneva is not far, walk 20 minutes away. So we went for a walk along the lake and were pleasantly surprised to come across two whooper swans that were about as tall as a man. Generally speaking, swans are more likely to be encountered in the old town.)

3️⃣140m high The Geneva Water Fountain (you can see it by the Geneva lake, just click a card)

4️⃣ The Flower Clock, clap up! Just take notes)

These attractions are very close to each other, but they are quite inexplicable, the flower clock is the setting of the flower bed in the domestic park, but it will be decorated with different flowers according to seasonal changes, and the big fountain is... It's a big fountain. The view of Lake Geneva is not bad, and the walk around the lake is a little chill.

5️⃣ St. Peter's Basilica (The church was under renovation when I went, so I had a brief tour, but the interior of the church is really beautiful)

It's a great place to understand the history of the Reformation. There's a chair that Calvin used. You can go to the top of the church during the day (my favorite part), there is an archaeological site below the church, but I would recommend walking around the area at night, it's urban but it's really quiet,

6️⃣ Museum of History and Art (it is too late to go this time, leave a small regret to make up for next time, if you have time, I suggest to go for a visit)

In general, the surprise is not to punch a certain point, but the time spent walking along Lake Geneva.

We saw all kinds of people swimming and diving by the lake, people holding their puppies and kindly wishing me "Happy wedding" (probably because I was wearing a white dress and getting Congratulations all the way), and people sitting by the lake very immersed in a book... It was these moments that made me feel the relaxation of the city of Geneva, and also added some expectations for the next trip...
