💫 Mushroom Exhibition
As a mushroom lover, I went to see the mushroom exhibition in Vancouver earlier this month, which is very different from the mushroom exhibition in Montreal. The mushroom exhibition in Vancouver is not the focus, but the focus is all about eating and buying!
The Montreal Mushroom Show is free to visit, and there are only a few mushroom-related books for sale, while the Vancouver Mushroom show, alone mushroom-related books are filled with several tables, there are author's lecture time to sign, other T-shirts, food and various crafts are full of steam games about mushrooms! The quality is so good that I can't put my wallet back...
The weather was very cold that day, but also under a lot of rain, the chef dry sauteed the mushrooms, and then made soup, soup in advance of the stew is very soft and rotting radish, eat very similar to Japanese practice, but also with fresh pea leaves, in such weather steaming so that people completely unable to walk, drink directly conquered the money to buy a book, but also asked the chef to give me a signature.
In addition to the surrounding of these mushrooms, there are mushroom planting kits and various mushrooms and wild vegetables to buy, which are very, very fresh, excellent quality, and the price is cheaper than buying in the general market. This season, only morels are wild, and it is full time, if you want to eat porcini and other things have to wait until September, one of the stalls of the girl is said to be specialized in selling wild mushrooms, she will be in various regions of the farmer's market tour, later have the opportunity to squat her.
In short, this mushroom exhibition really gave me a good visit, and I have begun to look forward to the next time!
💫Beaty Biodiversity museum
Today, I finally went to the museum with a complete blue whale skeleton. It is not large but the collection is rich. Today, we took a quick look at all the parts of the baby that are interested in. Later, we have the opportunity to further learn the essence of it. There are volunteers to explain the exhibition, and some animal and plant specimens can also be touched up close. In short, you can both visit freely and participate in interaction.
Today, we were impressed by an elderly volunteer (or retired faculty member) in the museum who is presumed to be 70+ years old. She pushed the car with animal specimens and took the initiative to talk with us about the topics that children are interested in, with a kind attitude and lively and interesting content. She is also wearing an N95 mask, probably because of her age, in case the virus strikes, the body may not be able to cope well. Because of this, I admire her efforts more.
In addition to the attractive animal specimens in the exhibition hall, there is a large cypress ring of more than 700 years to stop us for a long time. Close observation can not only smell the unique aroma of the tree, but also touch its clear rings, and can not help but marvel at its vitality hidden in the long river.

🌟 Cable car
Trail people are few, almost all tourists by cable car, the top of the mountain is very windy and the temperature is relatively low, must wear a windproof jacket (some people wear down jackets...) Because the cable car to get down the mountain is only half the way, to see Cheakamus Lake and the continuous group of snow mountains, the lift ticket is expensive but not bad.
Walk ten minutes to the top by the open cable car and see the big suspension bridge! Those with a fear of heights find this ride more challenging than the bridge 😅 Trust me, after this ride, all ziplines will be a piece of cake
