Every summer, I look forward to the RA Summer exhibition. When I see the distribution of hundreds of art works, I deeply sigh that the color layout ability of the curatorial team is too strong. When so many paintings are placed in such a large space, they can be orderly and dizzyingly dazzling.

At such times, I feel that the artistic atmosphere in London is too strong. Everyone was immersed in the joy of looking at the price of the work and guessing the price with the pamphlet.
Personally, I think the Summer exhibition of the Royal Academy of Arts (RA) is the most worthwhile public art exhibition in London in the summer. It is held in Burlington House, a Grade II listed building in Picadilly, central London.
The RA brings works of art to the public and sells them at gallery auctions, an important opportunity for emerging London artists to make their mark. In the London design circle, it is often heard that friends around them have exhibited artworks or have invested in them. It feels like a lot of the work in recent years is related to identity politics, cultural heritage, feminism, minority culture and so on. This year, there are especially many art works related to small animals and domestic pets.
Each exhibit sold had an orange dot underneath it. The exhibits on offer have red dots. My friend told me the lowest price was closer to 1,000 pounds. The cat that has seen the most red dots so far is the Phantom cat in Figure 9.
Each room has its own theme. In the architecture gallery, there is Foster's model of JP MORGAN's New York headquarters, and next to it is an Archigram type manuscript drawn by Peter Cook this year. Next to it is the touch of Old Man Foster. All the paintings have no written description other than the signature of the artist himself. It takes a good eye for painting (or spending money on a solo album). In addition, I also saw models and manuscripts of Ba Yuan students.
There are professional curators who have their own walls, collecting paintings and arranging them according to their personal taste.
I think this exhibition is a good opportunity to explore my favorite art form. Personally, I'm a big fan of pop art, and the few paintings I've seen have already been sold. There are also some very sophisticated pencil sketches that I like.
Exhibition space: Most of the space is not designed at all. The Large Weston Room curated by Cornelia Parker uses some colors and exhibition shelves. However, trying to increase the design flow in a square exhibition hall results in an extremely crowded exhibition hall. The architecture gallery is particularly like seeing a graduation exhibition, but the Burgundy background is quite nice.
The Lecture room with yellow background pays attention to the materiality and tactility of the exhibits.
On the whole, those works that are cute and playful are very popular with the public. It's funny that the last architectural model has cobwebs in RA.
