When you come to Sydney, you can't miss the treasure Gallery of New South Wales!

Located on the gentle slope of Domain Park, it was built in 1874. As one of the three major art museums in Australia, the collection is very rich, displaying the best art works in Australia, including Australian art works of various periods and the works of Impressionist masters in the world, the collection is up to more than 30,000 pieces. The museum can be found everywhere Picasso, Van Gogh, Pissarro, Monet's original works, surprise!

The museum is divided into "old Museum" and "new museum". The old museum is the main museum in the south building (built in 1874). There are many classic works by contemporary masters, and the building has the feeling of an ancient Roman temple. The new pavilion is an extension of the old one in the North Building (completed in 2022), focusing more on presenting various contemporary artworks, more avant-garde and abstract, such as Yayoi Kusama.

The old museum has a total of five floors, one above ground and four underground, and the new museum has a total of four floors. The whole museum involves a wide range of collections, modern and contemporary paintings, installation art works, sculpture everything. Includes Monet's "Wonderland at Sea," Van Gogh's "Head of a Peasant," Picasso's "Nude in a Rocking Chair."

The design of the new museum is relatively close to many of our domestic art museums, in addition to watching the exhibition is also suitable for taking photos. The exhibits are mainly contemporary art, which is more abstract, and my favorite artists like Yayoi Kusama and kathleen are on display.

The Art Gallery is also in a good location, close to the Botanical Gardens, Opera House, Notre Dame Cathedral, Hyde Park, and is also suitable for the citywalk route.

There is also Maman, a 1999 installation of a giant spider by French-American artist Louies Bourgeois, which pays tribute to her mother and is perfect for cage-picture-taking (Photo 18), but was removed in April this year when the special exhibition expired.

The first floor of the art museum is the Australian local art exhibition, it is recommended to visit the floor by floor, and there are temporary exhibitions on the top floor, and it is recommended to reserve 3 hours for the whole visit. There is also a small Cafe in the art museum, if you are hungry, you can eat something to cushion your stomach.

In addition, the museum offers free Chinese and Cantonese guided Tours every Thursday and Saturday. Each time for about 45 minutes, there will be a special staff to explain the museum's various works of art, do not miss!

The souvenir shop here is one of the best I've ever visited! There are a lot of artistic derivatives, decisively took home two small paintings.
