If you're in Quebec City, be sure to set aside a day to get around this super playable island!
The island was recommended to us by a local who said he took his daughter there every week for the weekend. The island is said to have beautiful wineries and delicious ice cream.
From the old town, just one foot of the gas pedal, 20 minutes through the Ile d 'Orleans island as if time stood still! Along the way, you will pass Montmorency Falls, which is nearly 30 meters higher than Niagara Falls, and there are viewing platforms and walking trails around the falls, so you can feel the shock brought by the close distance of the falls.
Located in the middle of the St. Lawrence River just a stone's throw from Quebec City, Ile d 'Orleans was one of the first places in Quebec to be colonized by the French. Antique shops, galleries, restaurants, farms, wineries are all over the island along the river bank, driving all the way, when you see interesting shops, you stop and turn around, the whole process is like opening a blind box, every one of them has a surprise!
Cassis Monna & Filles
While on the island, don't miss Cassis Monna & Filles, the Blackcurrant winery. 💸wine tasting is only $5, rounded up equals free hahaha. Here are four different styles of blackcurrant that can be tasted at once
Chez Mag, La Fine Cantine
A whole hungry, directly to the island's famous Internet red snacks, this side also dog friendly, the taste can be said to be normal, but the amount is really large!
Poules Boutique
The three sisters opened a boutique in what used to be a chicken shed. In addition to new products, there are also a lot of vintage, which is well worth visiting!
Confiturerie Tigidou Jam Factory Maison de the
An old house that used to be a cowshed, a chapel, and a jam shop has been converted into a tea room by the current owners. Every nook and corner of the interior is exquisitely retro. The teatime is the best I've ever had in Montreal! Must go! Remember to book in advance!
Clocked in Confiturerie Tigidou Jam factory with two brothers, and it can be seen that the dog is not very happy about his brother stealing his c position. Recommend to everyone who comes to the island to try his store jam and smoothies! Teahouse This afternoon tea set is too sweet for me.
Les Fromages de l 'isle d 'Orleans
The island's historic cheese shop, dogs are not allowed to enter the store, the store's grandmother is very confident of their own cheese, the last stop too full, directly bought cheesecake for dessert, the taste is amazing! Just remember to wait 20 minutes to thaw before eating!
Vignoble Isle de Bacchus
The last stop around the island, the winery overlooking the river. On the Manshan grapes plated with gold by the sunset, he sighed, "You have to drive for a while, the driver you drink less."
Chocolaterie de l'Ile d'Orleans
From one end of the island directly around the island to the other end of the chocolate factory, there are a lot of different shapes of chocolate, as well as delicious ice cream, simple to choose a few as island tourism souvenirs!
Domaine Orleans - Cidery & Orchard
The apple orchard in the town and some farm products, but mainly to take pictures of the dogs, we didn't stay long.
Back to the hotel SPA watching the sun sink into the mountains and disappear. One day is the smallest unit to play on the island! I will book a B&B on the island next time, early island battle 3 days 3 nights!
