The historic city of Berlin has a variety of art forms and types, among which the most famous is the Museum Island in the center of Berlin, which is listed as a World Heritage site, including the Old Museum of Berlin, the Neue Museum, the National Gallery, the Bode Museum and the Pergamon Museum. Each museum has its own characteristics, of which the Pergamon Museum collection of large ancient buildings part of the most famous, is the bright star of the island.
The Pergamon Museum is considered one of the most important cultural history museums in human history. Pergamon is the economic and cultural center of the Hellenized area before and after the AD, the famous Pergamon altar is the last giant religious art work in ancient Greece, built by King Eumanese II in 180 BC to 165 BC to worship Zeus and Athena on a small hill.
The collections of the Pergamon Museum span more than 6,000 years of history and include exhibitions in three sections: the Antiquities Collection, the Museum of the Far East and the Museum of Islamic Art, which are rich and historically significant: Precious works of art such as the Pergamon Altar of the 2nd century BC, the Istar gate of Ancient Babylon, the relief facade of the Islamic Msha Tower, and the rooms of Aleppo, as well as treasures of ancient civilizations such as Greece, Rome, and Persia.

The Neues Museum
Exhibits include plaster casts, ancient Egyptian antiquities, prehistoric and early history collections, ethnographic collections, and prints and paintings.
The Neues Museum Berlin is one of five museums on Museum Island, which also includes the Pergamon Museum, the Old National Art Gallery, the Old Museum and the Bode Museum. Museum Island is a UNESCO World Heritage Site (much needed to stay a day here ~)
The Neue Museum in Berlin houses important exhibits including a bust of Nefertiti dating back 3,400 years (no photos available - you can get a close-up 360-degree view), as well as ancient Egyptian art, prehistoric and Stone Age artifacts, and ancient Greek and Roman artifacts.
The new museum was built in 1841 and was badly damaged by the war. Renovations began in 1997, and were completed on March 5, 2009, and reopened on October 17 of the same year. The restoration is as old as possible, using original materials as much as possible, including some stone columns and painted ceilings in imitation of ancient Egypt, but with modern designs such as a glass-topped atrium.
