A World Heritage Site in the mountains of southeast Queensland, not far from Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Divided into three areas: Springbrook Plateau, Natural Bridge and The Cougals, we are in the natural bridge area, if the time is more abundant, the other two areas should also be worth going to!
From near Brisbane, it took an afternoon to drive to Springbrook, a total of more than 200 kilometers. The road up the hill is twisted and varied, and it is quite challenging.
First stop :Purling book falls
Instead of taking the trail that takes you all the way down to the canyon, we only went to two nearby waterfall viewing spots. A lush rainforest landscape along the way, as well as eucalyptus trees, streams and pools, and lucky enough to see a rainbow! Along the waterfall extends below.
There are many other hiking trails in the area, and if I have time, I will definitely try them all!
Second stop :Canyon look out, Twins fall
Special tips, there is no toilet all the way here, the man is OK, the woman to see the individual, the sister has been endure, personally feel that if not particularly love walking, walk to the Twins fall(about 4 kilometers), you can return, walk the complete loop then we walked for more than four hours, the scenery after the Twins fall is general, But the small partners in the same trade will say, come to come, also not bad at this point.
Because we walk the complete circle line, the end of the time has been nearly three o 'clock, we are a little physical strength, not to watch, so only one day trip, it is recommended that the Twins fall after the return, there is time and physical strength of the next trip.
Then you can go on to the Best of all look out for the big observation deck.
Third stop: Natural Bridge area
The most important objective of the trip is to find the famous blue worm. Here the water erosion forms natural caves, shaped like Bridges, so called natural Bridges. In order to see the blue firefly, specially wait until the evening after dark in the past, originally on a pig to find a night tour group, the result people see my camping address does not give pick-up, so they can only go on their own, the result found that they go completely ok ah.
At the entrance met a father and daughter, let us follow along, just our flashlight does not give force, the little girl also pointed to some old trees and other things to show us.
The footpath of the natural bridge is circular, and in the middle is cave, which is actually very small. Fireflies are afraid of strong light, so they can't shine directly with a flashlight, and they usually cover it with their hands. You can only see it with your eyes. The blue dots look like patches of starry sky.
The map says that it takes about an hour to complete a circle, but in fact 30 or 40 minutes is enough, and we walked two circles without any hesitation.
⛺️ The campsite
The official Settlement Camping Area in Spring Creek National Park is $13.1 for 2 people. It is a completely natural camp with no electricity, no hot water, no shower, but a sink, toilet, BBQ stove and picnic table. There was a lot of brush turkey walking around.
Most of the time there is a signal network, all locations can be directly navigated in the past, but it is still recommended to download a good offline map in advance, it is said that waze background no network can also be navigated.
