Australia's cultural capital, full of art and romance, reminds me of Paris on the Seine
NGV(National Gallery of Victoria)
NGV is divided into the International Pavilion and the Australian Pavilion, which are located on both sides of the Yarra river in the city center. It is the first and oldest art museum in Australia and can be described as the pearl of Australian art. Whether it is contemporary art or early art, it is worth to savor the cultural heritage, and the unique triennial exhibition is currently being carried out.
The architecture of the art center is breathtaking. The clear pool water surrounds the rock-like building, which looks like a city tower from the street. The tower is reflected in the water, making it a unique scene of style. Towering spires reach into the sky and sit on both sides of the Yarra River, becoming the centre of Melbourne's social and artistic activity.
The colorful glass door, designed by Australian artist Leonard French, is the largest suspended stained glass in the world. This awe-inspiring geometric masterpiece is known as the Persian Carpet of Light. The screen wall made of glass mirrors, and the water curtain slowly pours down along the glass mirrors, like a dim and graceful Impressionist painting, but also like a moving feast in Hemingway's pen.
University of Melbourne
It is a prestigious university with a beautiful campus and excellent academic atmosphere, surrounded by Gothic architecture that allows you to travel to the medieval campus in a second.
Graffiti wall
Melbourne is known for its unique graffiti culture, and graffiti walls are a great example of graffiti art, often transformed with stunning patterns. All the way from the city, next to St. Paul's Cathedral, the short street is lined with various graffiti works
Open, inclusive and vibrant, it provides a super-free environment for graffiti art, and many seemingly chaotic small patterns contain its unique internal order.
National library
The State Library of Victoria is the oldest public library in Australia. Melbourne was only 20 years old when it was founded in 1854. The library is famous for its large domed reading room, built in 1913, and the architectural structure and linear design are amazing.
Originally today was to practice composition, but came too late, almost to close, the result can only be used as a punch card, next time!
This magnificent building is a paradise for scholars and literature lovers, with a rich collection of books and documents, located in the bustling downtown area.
Great Ocean Road Twelve Disciples shiyi
