Chiang Mai | hides the immortal. The demon. The Demon Three Realms don't you know
White Temple: One of the most iconic sites in Chiang Rai, it was designed and built by Chalermchai Kositpipat and is famous for its magnificent carvings and murals. Pure white roof, walls, base, inlaid in the wall glass reflected dazzling silver light, as if a fall into the earth, incomparable holiness and shock.
Almost every tourist to Chiang Rai must punch the scenic spot. The most shocking scene is the helpless bridge leading to the Buddhist hall, full of gray struggling hands outstretched, a ferocious image, like a soul in hell, crying, repentance, longing for liberation.

Black temple
The Black Temple, also known as the Black House, is a private museum built by Thai artist Thawan Duchanee.
He studied in Europe and received his doctorate. In person, he looks a little like a pudgy version of Zhang Daqian, and I don't really like his paintings, but his death-themed museum is a strong personality, a heavy feeling that accompanies the entire visit, and the museum displays the death relics that the artist has spent his life collecting from around the world. There are a large number of horns, boa skins, crocodile skins, shells, Wolf skins, skulls, etc. The entire building is also black inside and outside the main color, let people fall into the endless night void.
The artist himself died three years ago, and he hung his ashes high in the middle of the hall to complete his entire death series. This art gallery is located in the tropical jungle of the border between Thailand and Myanmar. In addition to the relics of death, the artist also collects various antiques, including Buddha statues and local folk articles. The jungle is also dotted with several modern abstract buildings, which are also displaying many death-themed sketches. Many of the artist's collections are casually stacked in the semi-open air, wind and rain sun, some of the crocodile skins placed on the floor are rotten, Buddha statues also accelerate his aging, I also like to collect antiques everywhere in the home, he may want to witness the whole process of death, living, inanimate, some end up in the void.
I've been to Thailand many times, north and south. I was paragliding at sea during the 2004 tsunami, and I had a brush with death. If there is one place in Thailand that I like best, so far it must be the Black House, because it has something to say, insists on itself, and speaks straight to the heart. The jungle in the evening is getting more humid and hot, and swarms of mosquitoes are hovering overhead. I have to go through them to go to the bathroom. The bathroom is also black and white, the walls are covered with the corpses of various beetles, and there are centipedes crawling on the ground. I got a black breath.
Play tips:
1: Try a black ice cream behind the main house
2: The open collections are mainly concentrated in the main house, and the other rooms are basically sealed. You can see a lot of different sculptures
Blue Temple
Designed by Phuttha Karbkaew, an apprentice of the designer Chalermchai Kositpipat of the White Temple, the Blue Temple is very detailed and vividly sculpted dragons. The whole building is painted in a very saturated blue color, with gold as a backstop. At the entrance of the main temple, there are two huge dragons with their mouths open. Entering the temple is a shocking feeling.
The whole temple is like a huge work of art, with a blue tone inlaid with a golden outline, and embedded with a variety of complicated and gorgeous gold patterns, it continues its concept of building the white temple at the beginning, no admission fees, no parking fees, no incense money.
The actual size of the Blue Temple is small, much smaller than the White Temple and the Black Temple (White Temple 1.5h, Black Temple 1.5h, Blue Temple 1h), but the saturation is very high.
Free opening hours:
Weekdays: 8:00 -- 17:00
Closed: 8:00-17:30

Please do not touch all the murals and sculptures in some temples.
Take photos tips:
1: Back of the two gods at the entrance, classic position
2: Outside the main hall, the front and side are very out
3: The white Buddha in the main hall, the carving of the zenith
4: The tower at the back of the throne room
