Botanical Gardens of Paris

The Botanical Gardens of Paris in the 5th Arrondissement, which originated in 1626 and is part of the Museum of Natural History, is a popular weekend getaway. The Jardin des plantes itself is free of charge and can admire a variety of floral plants. The first area after buying a ticket is the tropical rain forest, a dream forest of tropical plants from Africa, America and Southeast Asia, where you can enjoy banana trees, rattan plants, ferns and various tropical flowers. At the end of the walk, you can climb the rock area and stand on the high ground overlooking the rainforest ecology.

Into the other greenhouse is the greenhouse of desert and arid environment, including all kinds of cacti from the Americas, Australia, Mexico, Sahara and other places, there are various sizes, burr, ball, columnar, sheet.

Further on is a greenhouse dedicated to the islands of Oceania, where isolation from the rest of the continent has made many of the island's plants so special that 76% of its species don't exist anywhere else. The greenhouse includes wet forests, dry forests, bushes, savannas and mangroves, and contains many rare plants.

The Museum of Nature and Hunting, a niche museum in Paris

The Museum of Nature and Hunting. Located in the Marhei District, it focuses on the relationship between hunting traditions and the natural environment.

And a house built with black bird feathers, which are placed in various related books, look closely at the black feathers, but also flashing different luster.

The interior of the museum is almost all wooden decoration, wooden floors, wooden ceilings, wooden furniture, wooden wall decoration, which makes people feel warm. It was like being in a primeval forest, a fire burning inside, the crackling sound of wood burning, the smell of mulled wine cooking on the stove spreading through the house, the mutilation of freshly hunted game, a hint of blood in the air, but soon covered by the smell of sizzling meat. Occasionally, in the distance, there was the sound of deer chirping, or the faint sound of other animals approaching in the forest and treading on dead leaves.

Caving Guide

Take the train to Rocamadour-Padirac, and there is a bus to gouffre de padirac. Please note, however, that Rocamadour-Padirac is quite a distance from Rocamadour village, there is a walking track which takes about an hour, and you can also take a bus, but not very often.

There are only two buses in the whole area, 876 and 877, which pass through the station, the village and gouffre, the price is 2 euros, please search for the specific time. Please note that buses are available daily only in July and August, on weekends only in June and September, and no buses for the rest of the year.

Because it is a fragile cave and underground river, there will be a strict limit on the number of people. Summer is the peak season, there are many people, please make an appointment.
The price for adults is 21.50 euros, which includes a boat ride on the underground river and an autoguide. The total time of the tour takes about 2 hours, it is very big and cool, but the road is very narrow and there are many people, so entering and leaving need to wait, which is relatively slow.

It is recommended to allow plenty of time to catch the bus. The cave is very tall, very beautiful, the underground stone cave is dozens of meters high, the hidden river is clear, very, very worth going to.
